a dream deferred

Ya know, I am pretty happy with where I'm at in life.  My only  gripe is that I am living someone else's dream.  I am living my wife's dream.  I wanted to be a surgeon...however due to her inane reasoning I have ended up something else.  I may still go back to med school, you never know, but I am not inclined to do that.  It's very interesting though how many times people end up living out other people's dreams.  Typically a parent or a spouses dreams rather than their own.  In all honesty I hope when I get my life back I will go to med school and do what I always wanted to do.  If you're struggling with who's dreams to follow, follow your own.  If the people in your life won't stand beside you because you are chasing after your dreams then you need to seriously evaluate what the issue is.  I missed alot of red flags and it's cost me dearly.  Follow your dreams, make them your reality. Live your life, not someone else's.
